Computational Engineer
Develop pattern recognition, data mining, and statistical data analysis algorithms. Analyze biological and toxicological data to find and validate biomarkers. Develop bioinformatics software including those for feature estimation and selections, clustering and classification,signal analysis and quality control of complex datasets from biochemical analytical instruments. Conduct research in the general areas of machine learning, multivariate statistics, signal processing and numerical analysis.
 
Requirements:

Master in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Statistics or related field, and one year of industry experience.


Data Analysis and Computational Scientists
We have a number of openings for applied mathematicians or anyone with strong practical mathematics acumen and computer programming skills. These positions involve data analysis, modeling and simulation of complex physical and biological systems.
 
Requirements:

These positions require a B.S./M.S/Ph.D in applied mathematics, statistics or a related engineering and science field, and demonstrated strong quantitative capability in the analysis of large complex data set and computational modeling and simulation of either biological or physical systems.
 
Desired background includes some of the following: signal analysis, systems computational modeling and simulation, data mining, pattern recognition, machine learning, multivariate statistics, numerical analysis, etc.

  • Programming in Matlab and/or C/C++ and/or FORTRAN
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects
  • Ability to quickly identify and assimilate new knowledge

Analytical Biochemist
We have an opening for a Senior Analytical Biochemist. In this position, you will support customer’s experimentation efforts by analyzing mass spectrometry data using statistical methods and writing reports summarizing the findings. Responsibilities will include working with bench scientists and bioinformaticians to develop, evaluate and validate analysis tools and graphic user interfaces for use in research and development. You will also work with scientists to outline studies and design experiments. This position requires a minimum of a Master's degree in life sciences, statistics or related fields and demonstrated experience and skills in analysis of biological data.

Bioinformatics Engineer
We have an opening for a bioinformatician with focus in pattern recognition and statistical analysis algorithm development and application. In this position, you will analyze a variety of biological data from clinical studies to find and validate biomarkers using statistical and pattern recognition tools. You will also be responsible for contributing to the research and development of such tools, as well as other tools including those for feature estimation and selection and quality control of complex mass spectrometry datasets. Other responsibilities will include study and experiment design, and writing reports.
 

Requirements:

This position requires a Ph.D. in applied mathematics, statistics or a related engineering and science field, and demonstrated experience and skills in analysis of biological data, including: 5+ years of industry experience in pattern recognition and/or statistical analysis of biological datasets, in which the number of features dramatically outnumbers the number of samples in which those features are measured.
  • Research and development of pattern recognition/statistical tools
  • Software like Matlab or R/S+

Bioinformatics Scientist
We have an opening for a computational biologist for bioinformatics algorithm application. This position requires 5+ years of experience in small molecule spectroscopic data pattern analysis and hands-on knowledge of various instruments. Your responsibility will include algorithm application and data interpretation.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of MS and 5+ years experience. Ph. D in Bioinformatics, statistics, or related science and engineering field.
  • Working knowledge of molecular biology and statistics.
  • Experience with established modeling techniques such as Bayesian networks, Markov processes, and kernel methods.
  • Able to develop algorithms quickly by using a high-level programming language such as C/C++, MATLAB or R.
  • Work effectively in team environment. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
